The music ministry at Squamish United Church plays a vital role in the spiritual and communal life of the congregation. Known for its warm and inclusive atmosphere, the church offers a diverse and vibrant music program that enhances worship and fosters a deep sense of connection among its members.

At the heart of the music ministry is a commitment to blending traditional hymns with contemporary worship songs, creating a rich tapestry of sounds that appeal to all generations. The pop-up church choir, composed of dedicated volunteers, sing during Christmas and Easter along with special occasions. Their harmonies uplifting the spirit and inviting everyone to participate in the musical praise. Special services, such as Christmas and Easter, often feature additional musical performances, including solos, instrumental pieces, and collaborations with local musicians, reflecting the church's engagement with the wider community.

In addition to Sunday services, the music ministry extends its reach through events such as Squamish United Church's Coffee House concert and monthly sing-alongs at Hilltop House (held prior to worship on the second Sunday of each month), and musical workshops. These events not only provide opportunities for fellowship but also serve as an outreach to the Squamish community, welcoming newcomers and fostering a sense of belonging.

Under the leadership of our passionate music director, Arlene Robinson, the ministry is committed to nurturing the musical talents within the congregation, encouraging members of all ages to share their gifts. We are grateful for the dedication of Louise Martin (recorder/flute) and Peter Spiller (guitar) who play most every week. Whether through singing, playing instruments, or participating in the planning and execution of worship music, everyone is invited to contribute, making the music ministry at Squamish United Church a true reflection of its inclusive and loving spirit.
